Slowdive, 2014

One of the great early shoegaze bands of the late 80s/early 90s, Slowdive was a band ahead of its time which influenced current bands like M83 and Arcade Fire. Slowdive was founded while its members were still in their teens. After sending in some demo tapes to various labels, they arrived at shoegazers' heaven Creation Records - home to their contemporaries Primal, Ride and My Bloody Valentine. Putting out 3 albums in 5 years before disbanding in 1994, Slowdive, at the time, was under appreciated in the era of grunge and Britpop.  After breaking up they formed the band Mojave 3 which received moderate success.  It was only years later that Slowdives music gained the critical acclaim and praise it deserved.

Early in 2014 the band got together and decided to tour for the first time since breaking up.  The response was overwhelming and the band has been booked to perform at festivals around the world.
